Microsoft, at the Windows Hardware Engineering Community (WinHEC) event earlier announced, that the new Snapdragon Processors from Qualcomm will soon support windows based features and apps such as Microsoft Office, third-party Software and Games.

Microsoft and Qualcomm has worked together on a new project, the goal of the partnership is to get Windows 10 running on the premium Snapdragon Chips. To show their progress Terry Myerson (Microsoft’s EVP of Windows and Devices Group) came with a thin, fan-less laptop prototype.

On the Demo he had Windows 10 Running on his Prototype laptop. On the screen, we can see the Windows applications like Edge Browser and Adobe Photoshop running on it without any lags and it is working smoothly. This Hardware and Software is said to be available for the public during the second half of 2017.

Microsoft said that, Consumer can experience the exact same software features and application that people expect from a new Operating System. Devices that are using this hardware will be running Universal Windows Platform (UWP) and Win32 apps through emulation. Microsoft and Qualcomm are hoping this process will inspire OEMs to build new devices and offer more choices to the consumer.

Seeing this short of Changes we can see where the future of the Windows devices can be.
