The 26th edition of CAN infoTech ICT Exhibition, like previously is organized by Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) which will start from 26 Jan 2017. This ICT event is said to be 6 days long, which will be held on the Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall. This event will showcase the latest technological development happening across the world and increase people’s awareness about information and technology.
On a press conference in Kathmandu, CAN Federation said all the 222 stalls are booked by different National and International IT firms to showcase their products. “The CAN InfoTech has been a flagship programme of CAN Federation and one of the largest annual events in the country in terms of participation of people,” said Binod Dhakal, president of CAN Federation, adding the InfoTech has proved to be a milestone event to increase people’s awareness on IT and promote the domestic ICT industry.
“Among other issues, the exhibition this year will focus on broadband internet issues and communication technology,” iterated Dhakal.
CAN InfoTech is the largest ICT event in Nepal on the basis of people’s participation. Organizers expect 4,00,000 peoples visits and the entry fee is Rs. 100 for the general visitors and Rs. 50 for students.
