Chinese Smartphone manufacturer Meizu has launched Meizu E2 in china with redesigned back panel and small tweaks on the front. Though with all these sorts of changes the phone looks beautiful.
Meizu E2 has unibody metal built which looks premium, the back of the device carries some design elements of iPhone though it looks nice. The major changes are on the design camera flash. This is something new and different that we have seen in Meizu smartphone and these changes are welcoming.
E2 packs a 5.5-inch FullHD display and is powered by MediaTek Helio P20 processor. Meizu E2 comes with two configurations one with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and other with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage. The Hybrid SIM slot accepts two SIMs or one SIM and one MicroSD Card, with the SD card slot one can further add the storage up to 256GB. The front of the phone houses an 8MP camera for selfie duties and on the back, it has a 13MP f/2.0 sensor with PDAF and four LED flash. We don’t know how this quad-LED flash will help to improve the images we have to wait to see it working. The interesting thing is the Quad-LED light that we have witnessed for the first time which is placed on the top antenna bands. On the front, there is also a fingerprint reader that the company claims to unlock the phone just in less than 0.2 seconds.
The power is delivered through a 3400mAh battery which is 18w fast charge ready. Meizu also unveiled a couple of colorful protective cases called Hi Case which consists of a slider that covers the LED flash and protects it when not in use. The Meizu E2 Hi Case comes in black, red, blue, and green color options.
On the connectivity part, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and full network support. The Meizu E2 comes in Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, and Obsidian Black colors. Meizu also disclosed that there will be a special Transformers Edition to mark the release of the movie’s fifth edition.
Talking about the pricing of Meizu E2, the 3GB variant is priced at 1,299 Yuan (~$189) which is around NRP. 19,000 and other 4GB variant is priced at 1,599 Yuan (~$232) which is around NRP. 23,500. Pre-Booking for the device has already started in China.
