Xiaomi’s premium Note series phone known as Mi Note is finally getting updated with Mi Note 2. Last month, Xiaomi had launched their flagship phone Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus with the new type of Finger Print reader which utilizes Ultrasonic technology to read the Finger Prints. And now, they are updating the Mi Note series with the Mi Note 2 which is said to feature double-curved screen.
The company on their forum today announced that Mi Note 2 will be unveiled on 25th October in Peking University Gymnasium, if you don’t know this the same place which was constructed for Summer Olympics 2008 and hosted table tennis events. The launch event will be hosted by Wu Xiubu, Liu Shishi and Liu Haoran.
On the Wibo account of the company, they posted two images which were said to be Mi Note 2. If the specs of the device are concerned, it is rumoured that the Mi Note 2 will have a 5.7-inch display with the double-curved screen. Moreover, the device is rumoured to be powered by a Snapdragon 821 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM. On the back, it may have 16MP dual-rear camera setup.
The first Mi Note device was launched 1 year and 9 months ago and this is the first update to the Mi Note series. We will have to wait to see if the rumoured specs are indeed genuine. For now, check out the images which were said to be Mi Note 2.
