Infocus an American smart phone brand is known for launching affordable smartphone with comparatively high specifications. The company has now two series of phones namely Bingo and M. To further expand their product range, today launched their new series of phone – Epic which has Epic 1 in an event organized at Banquet Hall Park Village Resort, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu.
The Event was held on the presence of Chief of Mobile Association of Nepal (MAN) and Brand Ambassador for InFocus in Nepal Sandhya KC. The smart phone is priced at Rs. 31,990 and the company has started taking Pre-Orders, the sale is scheduled to begin from Second week of February.
The Chief of Mobile Association of Nepal said,- “Nokia ruled the mobile phone market before, now Chinese smart phone brands are dominating the Nepali Market but with the launch of Epic 1 it seems like American Brand InFocus will Conquer the Market.”
The most interesting thing about this phone is its SoC, MediaTek Helio X20 MT6797M which is a Deca-Core processor paired with a Mali T720 MP2 GPU and 3GB of RAM. This makes Epic 1 cheapest Deca-Core phone that can handle every thing thrown to it. Further, it is made up of Aluminium Uni-body which has 5.5-inch FullHD On-Cell display. This phone has a 16MP rear camera with feature like Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), PDAF and Image tracking technology, On the front it has 8MP camera with f/1.8 aperture. On the Storage department there is 32GB of on-board storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a MicroSD card. USB Type C is also present in this device.

The InFocus Epic 1 runs on Android Marshmallow topped with InLife 2 UI. It has a package of 3,000mAh battery enabled with Fast Charging which claims last up to 10 hours of talk time and 500 hours of standby time. On the back of the device there is a Biometric fingerprint reader which claims to unlock the device in less than a second. Only Gold color is available for the device.
InFocus Epic 1 will be competing with the phone like Xiaomi RedMi Note 4 which also offers similar specifications. Now, let’s see how Epic 1 performs here in Nepal.
