Nepali telecommunication giant ‘Nepal Telecom’, issuing a press statement today said that – Nepal Telecom (NT) is providing a scheme under which prepaid customers using GSM and CDMA phones can easily ask for loan or credit when the main balance is getting low.

Credit facility from NT has been in the talks for some times now and today we are seeing it coming. This is the small effort from NT to make communication hassle less and NT is not the first to bring such scheme NCell have had this for quite a long now. The credit facility is said to be available for consumption with incoming 5 months of the date of signing of the agreement. To provide the service, Managing Director of both the companies – Kamini Raj Bhandari from NT and Hemanta Agrawal from Hemant Trade Centre Pvt. Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

What makes this scheme different from others is the fact that customers can continue the talk without having to disconnect even when the balance is running loan. The credit will automatically be taken when the customer is on the phone and the balance runs out, and the credit used will be deducted when the customer recharges. Further, NT has made another change NT will not charge a penny for the uses of this scheme, unlike NCell that deduct service charges and TAX. This Scheme is said to come on operation 5 months from now.

The Credit amount is not yet finalized but customers can take credit several times only when a previous credit balance is paid.

The move taken by NT to provide Credit without any extra charges is very welcoming as the customers from NCell are always charged extra whenever the facility is used. This Scheme will bring relief to the customers on a certain extent.

What amount of credit do you expect from NT? Did you like the move of NT? Flow your feedback on the comments.
