ZTE is the China-based smartphone manufacturer who is aiming to be one of the world’s top 3 smartphone makers by 2020. And that shows looking at the phones like Axon 7 and Axon Mini that they are serious about being at that place. ZTE has followed the similar kind of strategy: Sony has “Compact” mid-ranger line-up of phones that represents its flagship devices. Samsung also has “Mini” line-up which is smaller version of their high-end Galaxy phones.
The newest phone ZTE Axon Mini is already launched on the global market but not in Nepal. So, recently Evolution Enterprises Pvt.Ltd. has launched ZTE Axon Mini special edition in Nepali market because they are the official Distribution channel partner for Nepal. ZTE claims that the Axon mini is the first phone in the world that comes with the pressure-sensitive screen. We had seen similar kind of display technology on iPhone 6 last year with the name “3D Touch”. What this technology does is senses the amount of force applied on the display and reacts to it, like you can tap for pick view and press to open the content just like iPhone.
ZTE Axon Mini is the smaller sibling of Axon 7 and it shows because it has all scaled-down the internal components. Axon Mini has a Super AMOLED 5.2-inch FullHD Pressure-sensitive screen on the top and inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor clocked at 1.4GHz max with Adreno 405 GPU. Axon Mini has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB with the help of MicroSD card slot. Camera is the 13MP sensor on the back and 8MP on the front. The phone runs on Android v5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. Battery is rated at 2800mAh which is non-user replaceable and the device is secure with Fingerprint Reader on the back.
