Obi MV1 all set to launch in Nepal.

Obi Worldphone SF1 and SJ1.5 witnessed the great success in Nepali Market, now its time to see how well the new MV1 performs. New Obi MV1 looks similar to its elder sibling SF1 with the ‘Floating Display’. This device is already launched outside Nepal but the authorized distributor – Starck Tech has made the decision to bring it to Nepali Market.

According to our trusted source inside Starck Tech, The first batch of the Obi MV1 is arriving in Nepal on this Wednesday and there will not be any launch events to unveil the phone. It will directly be supplied to the stores for sales, probably after Dashain and before Tihar. The source also mentioned that the Obi Worldphone MV1 will be priced around NRs. 17,000. Since there are two variants of phone we don’t know which one or both will be available in Nepal.

Talking about the specimens of the phone, it has a 5-inch 720p screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Processing task is performed by Qualcomm MSM8909 Snapdragon 212 which is a Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.3GHz each, Graphics is handled by Adreno 304. There are two variants considering the OS and RAM, One with Android Lollipop v5.1 and 1GB RAM, Other with Cyanogen OS with 2GB of RAM respectively. Camera department boasts 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, the front houses a 2MP camera. This phone has built-in DTS Sound for the audio phonic. Above all these things power is delivered by a 2500mAh Li-ion battery.
