The much-awaited upgraded series of iPhone was launched on iPhone’s 10th anniversary with a special edition phone named the iPhone X(Pronounced as “Ten”). The trio of smartphones Apple’s new iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X were officially announced at an event on Apple campus. There were many rumors about the specification of the device for a month now the official details have been revealed. Gen Nxt is the official distributors of iPhone in Nepal and according to them, the new iPhones will hit the Nepali market before Tihar.
iPhone X (The main flagship)
Talking about the new iPhone X (Pronounced as Ten) the first thing hitting the mind is the Bezel-less design which makes the iPhone even sexier. 5.8-inch screen with an OLED display called ”Super retina display” with a resolution of 2436 x 1125 pixels and 458 PPI pixel density. Apple has also added Dolby Vision and HDR10 support for stunning video playback and a more astonishing user experience. Apple is also known for removing some well-known features from its design. This time there is no Home button on the iPhone x removing the fingerprint sensor on it. But there is 3D face recognition for unlocking the device. Glancing at the phone camera will help A11 Bionic chip, a neural engine processor that processes the image in real-time and identify it. It also works well in dark. 3D Touch display is one of the X factors of the phone.
The Phone is packed with the hexacore A11 Bionic neural processor. The company also claims iPhone X to be the most powerful smartphone to date with the inclusion of the A11 processor. Talking about the camera iPhone X’s camera has a dual-lens 12MP rear camera, with dual optical image stabilization, made up of a wide-angle f/1.8 aperture lens and a telephoto f/2.4 aperture lens. The 7MP front shooter also includes auto image stabilization and exposure control. Video with 4K resolution at 60fps, plus slow-motion video at 240fps is now possible.
The battery is also claimed to deliver 2 hours longer use than existing iPhone 7 and includes wireless charging. Wireless charging is a great inclusion for the first time in iPhone. All 3 smartphone supports wireless charging. iPhone X is capable of capturing and translating the facial movements into animated emojis which is termed as Animojis. The new iPhone X is IP67 certified – dust and water-resistant.
Price and Availability
iPhone X is priced at $999 where as the smaller model iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will launch starting at $699 and at $799, both with 64GB of storage space. An optional 256GB is also available. Gen Nxt is the official distributors of iPhone in Nepal and according to them, the new iPhones will hit the Nepali market before Tihar. The pricing may be similar to that of the international market.
