HTC, Lenovo, LG, and Sony have confirmed some of their smartphones and tablets that will officially receive the latest upgrade Nougat, although they still do not give specific time frames. Other manufacturers have not yet spoken – but we can get an idea of what to expect of them based on previous experiences.

While Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 received the Android 6.0 in March 2016, five months after the launch. Intermediaries Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016) began receiving Marshmallow in July 2016, nine months after the launch.
Given the history of Samsung, it is safe to say that the line of tops of the current generation (Galaxy S7, S7 Edge Galaxy and Galaxy Note 7) will receive the Android 7.0, possibly by the end of the year. Devices of lower segments, such as the J line, most likely will not get updated.
