Huawei Technologies has officially launched its new mid-range flagship Smartphone with 4 cameras for the first time in Nepal. Yesterday in an official launch event, all new Nova 2i with 18:9 aspect ratio was unveiled. The phone is priced at Nrs: 33,900/- and will be directly competing against other brands in the same price range like Oppo f5, One plus 3 and Xiaomi Mi A1.
Huawei Y7 Prime comes with the 5.9-inch Full HD display and new 18:9 aspect ratio.The display is almost Bezelless and Huawei calls it full view display. It is powered by Octa-core (4×2.36 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) Huawei Kirin 659 Processor. It is aided by Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. The device comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a MicroSD card slot which uses SIM 2 Slot as it has hybrid SIM slot. Equipped with a large 3340mAh (typical value) battery, the Huawei Nova 2i lacks fast charging support.
Talking about the Prime feature of the phone that is its quad camera. Dual 16MP + 2MP Rear Camera With Dual Tone LED Flash looks cool for a midrange phone. On the front part, the device has dual 13MP + 2MP Camera with Soft-LED Flash. Same as other flagship dual camera phones such as One plus 5 and iPhone 8 we can have the bokeh effect with a blurred background from both side. It operates on up to date EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The device has the fingerprint sensor on the rear side below the camera as the front part have almost no space.
Priced at Nrs 33,900/- this device certainly is one of the best phones you can get in this price range. Other phones competing with this device are Oppo f5, One Plus 3, Xiaomi Mi A1. But with Full view display, Quad camera and with decent processor Huawei Nova 2i definitely cut off the competition.
