And with no surprise the new Mate 9 is also taking the legacy further with its 4000mAH battery which promises 2 days of battery life. With the inclusion of the such huge size of battery the charging time will also increase with the normal charger. so, to cut such problems Huawei has included SuperCharge feature on this device. It is the home-made and what it does is cut the Full charging time to 90 Minutes by supplying 5A/3.5-5V power. Huawei also claims that 30 minutes of charge can give one day of battery life.
Mate 9 will feature second generation of Leica Camera which is developed on the collaboration of both Leica and Huawei. The rear camera unit has dual setup just like the P9. It has 20MP Monochrome leans and a 12MP color leans which comes equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), the front camera is a 8MP Autofocus sensor. The GPU is also a beast with Mali-G71MP8 GPU running at 900MHz. Vulkan Graphics Api is supported by this device so we can expect the new premium games to run on this device. The Fingerprint reader makes a comeback on this device with enhanced, more accurate and faster fingerprint recognition with Level 4 authentication measures.
On the software side this device comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with Huawei’s own custom skin EMUI V5.0. On this device Huawei has primarily focused on user experience and performance. They said that they have developed some tools which will keep up the smooth performance even after months of use. They claimed that even after 200 apps installed, 5000 contacts added and used for 16 months will not much drop the performance of the device.
This beast comes at the starting price of €699 which is approx 770 USD which is pretty expensive.
