Twitter Lite Launched

Lite versions of the popular Social media application – Twitter, has launched which is said to take less than 1MB of space and can load within 5 seconds on 3G connectivity. This is the great move by Twitter as its users are increasing from the developing countries where data rates are high and people also use Mid and Entry-level devices whose storage space is less. This will definitely help all of those people who don’t want to spend a lot in Data charges and high-end phones for better experience.

Twitter has added almost all of the features including timeline, tweets, Direct Messages, trends, profiles, media uploads, and more. Twitter lite only takes about 1MB of storage and loads up to 30 percent faster and can save up to 70 percent of mobile data when Data saver is enabled. It will blur the images and videos and lets you select which one to load full this feature will save a lot of data.

Twitter lite is not an stander application though, it is an web app which will work on all of the devices seamlessly. This lite versions is expected to be used by peoples from developing nation like, Nepal, India, Africa, Bhutan etc. as it also supports Push Notifications on Android but not on IOS.

NCell had let users surf Twitter for free in Nepal for quite a long now but recently they have announced that they will be charging for Twitter uses. With free Twitter access on NCell lot of users has joined Twitted to save their hard-earned money and the announcement by Ncell to charge for Twitter has made them sad. Now the Twitter has Launched the Twitter Lite it shouldn’t affect the uses of people as it has built-in data saving features.
