Xiaomi Mi Max 2 with 5300mAH Battery Launched

Xiaomi finally launched the most awaited,  Mi max 2 with 6.44” larger display. In an event held in Beijing, China, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun unveiled this device. Being the successor of Xiaomi Mi Max launched last year, this device is ready to hit the market with a larger display, bigger battery, and thinner bezels. Mi Max series is also Xiaomi’s biggest smartphones series in comparison to the screen size of other line up.Just last month Xiaomi announced its latest flagship device Mi 6.

Mi Max 2 is certainly catching the eyes and attention of the global smartphone users with its astonishing specs and a price tag that it comes with 6.44-inch  FHD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with unibody metal design. It operates on MIUI 8 based on Andriod 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box. It is loaded with 2Ghz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, built on 14nm FinFET technology. This is the same processor used by Xiaomi In latest Redmi Note 4SD launched in Nepal, which is absolutely fine and faster for mid-range smartphones. This device comes with 4GB Ram with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX386 Sensor seems satisfying but its 1.25μm large pixel size assures good low light photography. The front camera is 5MP with 85- degree wide-angle lens with beautifying feature as well.

The Major focus is on 5300mAH which make this phone a beast in terms of its battery life. A company also claims the battery will last 2 days per charge. It comes with quick charge 3.0. A company also claims that just one-hour charging gives almost 2/3 of a Full capacity of charge. The fingerprint scanner is located in the back. USB Type-C port is used in this device by Xiaomi for charging and data sync purpose.

It is priced at  CNY1,699 for 4GB/64GB and CNY1,999  for 4GB/128GB which is almost $247 and $291 respectively. It will go on sale in China from 1st June. This is definitely a mid-range rocker. Xiaomi always comes up with something out of the box and this phone is definitely one of them. It is yet to be released in Nepal. There is no official confirmation about its release in Nepal but hope it will be launched soon with reasonable prices, unlike other Xiaomi phones which are largely overpriced in Nepal comparing with the global market.
