Say Hello to Pixel : Goodbye to Nexus

We have had seen leaks about the new brand of phones from Google called Pixel. Yesterday on a event Google showcased their new phones, smaller Pixel and larger Pixel XL. With these phones Google is entering in new business of manufacturing the hardware as well. The phones look more or less similar to iPhone. Along with the Pixel and Pixel XL they also unveiled Daydream View headset.

These phones come in two different screen sizes, 5-inch FullHD display on the Pixel and 5.5-inch QuadHD screen on the Pixel XL. Both the phones are powered by Snapdragon 821 processor and runs on a specialized version of Android. They also has aluminium and glass body with fingerprint scanner at back just below the camera. Both the devices has AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM, USB-C, 3.5mm headphone jack is present on both the variants.

The battery capacity of Pixel XL is 3,450mAh battery and the Pixel has a 2,770mAh battery and they claim that 15 minutes of charging will add 7 hours of battery life with the help of fast charging technology. There is the presence of MicroSD card slot for the storage expansion purpose. They claim that they have included the best camera on the phone with the sensor size of 12.3MP.

Google has changed the entire look of the Android on the Pixel smartphones. This is the first phone that runs on Android Nougat out of the box. The 5-inch Pixel with 32GB onboard storage starts at $649 and the 5.5-inch Pixel XL starts at $769 for 32GB storage.
